How do you capture the complexities of identity through photo?
Identity is a tricky thing isn’t it.
Like a recipe, there can be a multitude of names for the same dish.
And like a dish, there can be a multitude of recipes that may seem confusing or contrasting on the outside looking in.
In Looking (2024), I wanted to capture the beauty of what happens when two identities, which have historically bee seperated in media
What does it mean to be a queer , a catholic, a mexican, a nopal? The legacies of colonialism haunt me and my culture everyday.
